What about Medicare Rebates?
Currently, many professionally trained and registered therapists are not eligible for Medicare rebates, a limitation that the peak professional body, PACFA, is actively lobbying to change with the Federal Government. At Spacious Minds, my fees are intentionally set at an accessible rate, often lower than the typical out-of-pocket costs associated with the Mental Health Care Plan. This allows clients the flexibility for longer-term support without being limited by the session restrictions imposed by Medicare-funded plans.
