Holistic Counselling and Therapy @ Spacious Minds
About Katie
I specialise in supporting individuals who are navigating the ongoing and often subtle effects of trauma, whether this shows up in relationships, workplace conflict, burnout, grief, or a persistent sense of disconnection.
My approach is holistic and collaborative, grounded in mindfulness and guided by a deep respect for your unique process. With postgraduate qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science, I bring a thoughtful blend of clinical insight, grounded presence, and real-world understanding.
At Spacious Minds, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore what matters most to you and to walk alongside you in your healing journey. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to meet you.

About Brett
I work with people who are carrying the effects of sustained pressure, responsibility, conflict, or trauma. I find these experiences often surface quietly through stress, anger, burnout, relationship strain, or a loss of direction or meaning. Many of the people I support function at a high level in daily life, while privately feeling disconnected, unsettled, or stuck.
As an Iraq War veteran and a veteran of South-East Asia, I bring lived experience of trauma and high-stakes environments, alongside a background in law, mediation, and senior leadership across corporate and government settings. This shapes a calm and practical therapeutic approach that recognises how trauma, responsibility, and identity can influence inner life, work, and relationships over time.
In our work together, I aim to create a steady and thoughtful space where people feel able to speak honestly about what they carry and how it affects their lives. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and the quieter ways stress, trauma, and responsibility can shape identity and relationships over time.

The Spacious Minds Approach
We are a married couple and therapy partners based in Adelaide, bringing both personal and professional depth to our work. Together, we offer individual and couples counselling, using an integrative approach tailored to each person’s needs, history, and pace. Where helpful, we work in a co-therapy model, with both therapists present to support the therapeutic process.
Our work is grounded in process-oriented psychology and informed by mindfulness, somatic awareness, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and anthroposophical perspectives. When words are difficult to access, we may incorporate creative and experiential methods such as movement, gesture work, artistic expression, or empty chair work to support insight and connection.
Our Values
Authenticity.
Respect.
Unconditional support.
Safety.
Justice.
Compassion.
Wisdom.
Integrity.
